ILIXR “Interaction Lab In XR” is an experimental lab focusing on emerging technologies and the their potential for new forms of expression and novel experiences. The lab attracts both undergraduate and graduate students looking for an opportunity to experiment with new media tools such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Generative AI/Design. With support from Prof. Lorie Loeb (Director of Digital Arts), the Computer Science department and Industry partners (Meta), the lab is like an “atelier” directed by Senior Lecturer, James Mahoney. Projects in the lab have been awarded competitive grants from the Leslie Foundation, the HOP and the Albree Trust.
